  • If you´re a soldier, a firefighter or a hiker, a new soft robotic suit could one day help you carry hefty loads.
  • The wearable robot reduces the amount of energy used while carrying a heavy weight by about 7 percent.
  • It also reduced the amount of work done by the knee, hip and ankle joints.
  • Users simply have to put on a waist belt, two thigh pieces and two calf straps, which are connected by cables to two motors on a backpack. The motors' energy travels through the cables to the suit, and is then transferred back to the person.

Do Now 3/14

If I get to be an invisible hero for one day, I would do a lot of things.  The first thing I will do is  help the homeless people by giving them food, clothes and a house. I would help people who need help like with their homework or like a grandma with groceries that are too heavy. Another thing I will do is help people who are incapable of doing a lot of things, like kids who cant walk because they are injured or something.  Another thing I will do is help the animals that are in the street injured and get them  to a veterinarian.
I would help those people who go into accidents and get them to the nearest hospital. I would also help those people who cant get a job by giving them money.  Also I will help those people that
are in pain and get them better medicine.  I  would also make sure the world is better than it was before by helping as much is I can in one day.

Educational Technology and Copyright Law

What I learned in this article was how can you use an image without getting copyrighted and the fair use of copyright. I learned that if I post a picture and a teacher wants to use it, they could and they will not get copyrighted.  Also I learned that I could use a licensed picture but I have to give credit to the photographer, which I always do.

In my opinion the Apple is in the right side of this process, I think it would be wrong for the government to force them to build a backdoor to their products. I know this would help find the terrorists but the privacy of the costumers would be gone. This would also betrayed the costumers trust because they would not have trust in the Apple anymore and they would not be able to put their personal information in their devices.

 Orion_3

Leap Motion  Orion

  • A faster hand tracking system.
  • Users dont need to manipulate a game pad or a controller.
  • It let´s you use your hands in virtual worlds just like you use them in the real world.

The main benefit of Orion over the previous Leap Motion product, beyond being designed specifically for VR and AR, is higher precision tracking. The company said that Orion tracks faster, maintains tracking in high occlusion scenarios and, most notably, it's purportedly better at distinguishing your hand from "cluttered" backgrounds, "allowing you to bring your hand close to or even in contact with other surfaces."

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

The class I'm choosing is Algebra 1, my teacher is Mr. Ben-Nun.  Mr. Ben-Nun was born and raised in Israel and he came to the United States in 1997.  He has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from the State University of New York and a Masters degree in  Education from The College of New Jersey.   He started teaching in Wood-Ridge since 2006.  He  enjoy teaching mathematics and setting a positive example to the students in the classroom.

What I expected to learn when this class first started was to get better at solving fractions and to learn more about integers and rational numbers.  Also to get better at graphs and functions.  In this class right now, we are learning about slopes and how to recognize it from a line. The grading policy in this class is 45% on Formal Assessment ( test),  15% on Formal assessment (quiz announced), 10% on Formal Assessment (pop quiz), 10% Project Based Assessment, 20% homework and class work.

In this class we used technology.  We use technology to do khan Academy and the star test.  What I like about this class is how Mr. Ben-Nun teaches, he explain things clearly and help everyone who needs help. What I dont   like about this class is how we dont have extra time to finish our test.  In Mr. Ben-Nun website you could find more information about class expectations. In this class we go on  Khan Academy to  practice things that we already did in class.
